I was tired from a full day of work and didn't notice there were worms in the meat. I cooked the meat and on my first bite I pulled a worm out of my mouth. My husband had already eaten 3 bites. We both got super sick from looking at our For the most part, I love Green Chef! The recipes are fun to make and very creativeI am making things and combining ingredients I normally wouldn't have thought of and they're delicious! Sometimes, because of how super fresh and organic, some of my vegetables are bad, either all or a part of the vegetable and I just cut that off. Well when the chef's choice is an inedible, horribly soft, fishy sole several different times I have to say, "no thank you Green Chef, time to move on." It was easy to cancel and they always gave me a credit when the meal was terrible or ingredients where missing. So kudos to Green Chef for their fantastic customer service! Consumer Reports evaluated five meal kit services that deliver nationally: Blue Apron, Green Chef, HelloFresh, Plated, and Purple Carrot.Using our secret shoppers, we ordered every meal (except Green Chef recipes are different than Hello Fresh and Blue Apron and offer more variety and taste. The reason I am rating 4 stars is that I have had wilted cilantro in one delivery and my box arrives at 7 pm or later for some of the deliveries - by then I have already made something else. 2 out of 3 boxes arrived late and spoiled! First time I let Green Chef know and they did not do anything about it. The next box arrived late again, ice bags completely melted and meat warmtotally spoiled! Save your money. Sad I had to throw away 2 boxes of food. What a waste!

Green Chef Meal Subscription Last night, we prepared our first Green Chef dinner, and indeed, our first dinner-in-a-box. Green Chef notified us of its pending delivery by e-mail, a very nice feature of their service. The box arrived via UPS ground, taking three days to arrive. It contained ingredients for three meals, and weighed 19-pounds.
